The provider may share information such as your name, email address, unique account identifier, and profile image, depending on your choices and the provider settings. We collect and use information received from a third-party sign-in provider in accordance with this Policy and the provider terms. We only request information that is reasonably necessary to create, authenticate, and maintain your account.
No User-Generated Content: The Services do not currently allow users to create, upload, or publish user-generated content. We therefore do not collect personal information through user content creation or publication features.
Information Collected Automatically: When you interact with or use our Services, we automatically collect certain information about your device and your use of our Services. This may include information such as your browser type and language, IP address, device ID, hardware and software information, advertising ID, content interaction and viewing data, standard server log information, purchase histories with us and information received from supported third-party sign-in providers, where used. Please see the section below relating to Tracking Technologies for more details. Information collected automatically includes:
- Devices and Applications: When you access or use our Services, we or our service providers may collect device and technical information, including device type, manufacturer and model, operating-system type and version, language, time zone, screen size, IP address, app version, network information, and mobile advertising identifiers such as IDFA or Android Advertising ID where permitted. We use this information for compatibility, security, fraud prevention, advertising, analytics, and service improvement.
- User ID: When you register for the Services, we may create a unique user ID and associate it with your profile to authenticate your account, maintain your settings and subscriptions, and understand your use of the Services.
- Usage and Content Interaction Data: We may collect information about how you use the Services, including session duration, pages and titles viewed, searches, viewing progress, content interactions, purchases or subscriptions, and installation timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, improve, and personalize the Services and to provide content recommendations.
- Mobile Analytics: We use mobile analytics tools to collect certain information about your usage of our Services, as well as on your device and the health of our Services to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Services on your device and for app optimization purposes. Such tools may record information such as how often you use the application, feature usage, viewing and usage statistics, events that occur within the application, aggregated usage and performance data, and where the application was downloaded from (i.e. which application store). We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any information that personally identifies you within the mobile application.
Our Use of Tracking Technologies to Collect Information Automatically
Tracking Technologies. We and our third-party partners, affiliates, or analytics service providers use standard tracking technologies (like web beacons, SDKs, APIs, scripts and tags) to identify your computer/device, to “remember” things about your visit or your use of the Services (such as your preferences or a user name) and to help us understand things like, what pages, features, and content you use or view. Such information may be linked to or combined with other personal information we process about you, such as your user ID, to improve the quality of our Services, tailor recommendations to your interests, provide and personalize our Services including making our Services easier to use, for fraud prevention, security and authentication purposes, and for similar purposes. Please refer to guidance provided by your device manufacturer, operating system developer, or individual web browser if you would like help in managing your preferences with respect to tracking technologies used on our Services.
Interest-Based Advertising. Some of our Services use advertising technologies such as cookies, SDKs, APIs, pixels, and similar tools to display, personalize, limit the frequency of, and measure advertising. Subject to applicable law and your choices, we and our advertising partners may process device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, ad impressions, clicks, and conversion information. Our advertising partners process information under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review the notices and controls made available through the Services, consent interface, device settings, or applicable app store.
- Advertisements served and the location of the ad;
- Length of time an advertisement was visible;
- Domain type, IP address, size of the advertisement; and
- Click-throughs (i.e. whether a click was made on the ad) and advertisement response.
Advertising partners may use this information to deliver ads, verify impressions and clicks, measure campaign performance, prevent fraud, control ad frequency, and improve advertising relevance and measurement.
You can learn more about ad serving companies and the options available to limit their collection and use of your information by visiting the websites for the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance, and the webpages for Facebook’s ad preferences tool and privacy policy. Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt-out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings and by resetting the advertiser ID on your Apple or Android device. You can exercise available advertising and tracking choices through the privacy or advertising settings on your Apple, Android, television, browser, or other device.
Please note: adjusting your preferences as described in this section does not mean you will no longer receive advertisements, it only means the ads you do see will be less relevant to your interests. Our advertising partners will also still use your device’s advertising ID to serve you with ads that may be less relevant to you; for example, we may use this for frequency capping (in other words, to control the maximum number of times you see the same ad from us). You may also reset the Advertising ID associated with your device by following instructions provided by your device manufacturer or operating system developer.
Analytics Technologies. We use our own systems and third-party analytics technologies to understand how users interact with the Services, measure performance, diagnose errors, prevent fraud, and improve our products. Depending on the technology used, analytics providers may process information such as IP address, device and app identifiers, browser or device information, timestamps, pages or content viewed, and interaction events. These providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Our Services may integrate third-party content, media, authentication, payment, analytics, or advertising services. Information processed through those features is also subject to the privacy policies and terms of the relevant third-party providers.
Where we use attribution or mobile analytics providers, they may process mobile identifiers such as IDFA, Android Advertising ID, app and device information, IP address, and campaign interaction data to measure installations, usage, and advertising performance.
Do Not Track Requests and Opt-Out Preference Signals. Your browser or device may include “Do Not Track” functionality. Because there is not yet a common standard for interpreting Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to those signals. Where required by applicable law, we honor recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device that sends the signal. You may also use the advertising choices described above.
